Mom's Birthday Surprise!!

Today was my mom's birthday. No I won't tell you how 'young' she is...you never ask a lady her age!

After I got out of class today I had enough time to run home and put together a flower arrangement for her and even a corsage. I put the coffee on the timer and a blanket in her favorite chair and a sappy movie in the dvd. I laid out birthday cards on the counter so she could read them with a moment to herself.

She hadn't been feeling all that well this week and we wanted her to just have some time to herself to relax and be peaceful.

What she didn't know is that we(my dad, Laura, and I) had everything else planned out...

Dad was going to Brownwood to "drop off" some things for Laura because she was too busy this weekend and wouldn't be able to celebrate with us. Well, Laura got out of the things she was doing this weekend to come home this weekend, only we didn't tell mom this!! So, I left work about 6:15 pm and arrived home just in time to clear out a huge box that we got from leftover Christmas presents. When dad walked in the door Laura snuck in and quietly, carefully got into the box and waited...

Laura made Mom a birthday card and 'sent' it with Dad. It said how sorry she was for not being able to come home and I miss you and Happy Birthday!! Oh, and I gave Dad a present to give to you...it's in the front room...

The rest you'll just have to watch....it's too funny!!!
